Be a Mentor

The Mentoring Alumni Program (MAP) is an excellent opportunity for students and members of our law school alumni community to cultivate a one-on-one mentoring relationship. Mentors and students will be matched using an online application and will be paired based on one’s personal and professional interests.

Matching of alumni and students will occur in mid-September and a “Mentor and Student” introduction luncheon will take place in early fall. Other program events include an Alumni & Student Speed Networking event, a midyear “Happy Hour”, and a final Appreciation Reception in the spring.

We invite you to sign up for MAP today! To do so, please contact Eric Silverman at ejs254@case.edu or 216-368-0813.

I can attest to the many benefits of mentoring. I have been a part of Case Western Reserve University School of Law’s Mentoring Alumni Program (MAP) for some time. The time spent with my mentees has made me a better employer, sharpened my leadership skills, and educated me about the challenges and dreams of a future generation of lawyers. My mentees have honed their professional networking skills, and most importantly, had a resource for discussion about career paths, employment opportunities, and the “unwritten rules” about making your way as a new lawyer.
