In March 2010 President Obama signed into law historic health reform legislation -
the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Almost immediately those opposing the law took action to mitigate its effect. Among other efforts, various states and individuals filed lawsuits in federal courts challenging the constitutionality of the Act. Initial District Court decisions in some of those cases have been announced, and the appeals are working their way through the system. This panel will explore the constitutional arguments raised in the litigation.
