Where Are They Now?
With the experience and professional contacts the Summer Institute provides, our participants have obtained exciting jobs in the field of international law, including:
Ruth Mary Hackler (Summer 05) and
Robert Bliss (Summer 06), went on to intern at the Special Court for Sierra Leone and were then hired as full-time members of the prosecution team, trying Charles Taylor at The Hague.

Colin McLaughlin (Summer 05), went on to become the first American to intern at the Chambers of the International Criminal Court, and is now judicial clerk at the Texas Supreme Court. |
David Borgia (Summer 05), went on to get an LL.M. in Asian Legal Systems at the National University of Singapore and is now a judicial clerk at the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York.

Marguerite Roy (Summer 06), is now Head of Office, Mazar-e-Sharif, United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan. |
Kathleen Gibson (Summer 06), went on to intern at Human Rights Watch and after graduation received a position in the Geneva Legal Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
